Seattle Wedding Photography: Kathy+Angelo

Wednesday, September 26th, 2012

When we first met with Kathy+Angelo about a year ago, we sat at their dining table gabbing away about everything for more than THREE hours!  We felt like we were old friends from the very beginning, so how can we NOT photograph this wedding?  And we were so glad we did.  Couples like Kathy+Angelo don’t come often and weddings like theirs are a wedding vendor’s dream.  This was the first wedding where the Bride included a thank you to all her vendors in her speech to her guests.  They made us feel THAT special.

Kathy+Angelo got hitched at the St. Catherine’s Church in North Seattle.  The reception followed at the Washington Athletic Club into the wee hours of the night…or next morning!  And what a party it was.  We had so much fun with the couple, we were a little sad when it was all over.  And when it was over at 1:30 am, Angelo even helped DJ Spinja pack up his gear.  Kathy+Angelo, you’re good people!

Take a look at their wedding sneakpeek below and make sure to check out their own Personal Wedding Preview site.

Kathy's beautiful silk and beaded dress was a steal of a deal at $350!!!

This is my favorite moment from the day. So intimate, so real.

We love big wedding parties. The bigger the better but this party has got to be the biggest we've ever shot.

So beautiful! 'Nuff said!

Kathy's hair was stunning and one of the most unique styles I've ever seen. It was perfection.

MMM...Dante's Dogs!

Introducing Personal Wedding Previews!!!

Tuesday, September 18th, 2012

When Chris+I were looking for wedding photographers during our planning phase, I must have searched past 50 pages of Google searches.  And each photographer’s site I went into, one of the first places I’d go immediately is their blog.  I loved checking out their blog posts because there is where most photographers store their recent work.  Besides, blog posts also allowed me to get a sense of who these people behind the lenses were.

Now as wedding photographers, we know how important it is to update our blog frequently.  It’s a constant labor of love but when we launched our new website earlier this month, we wanted to do something a little different for our clients.  So without further ado, we’d like to introduce the world to Cindi+Chris’ Personal Wedding Preview (PWP) sites!

Kathy+Angelo Washington Athletic Club Wedding

Suryn+Shawn Sleeping Lady Wedding (Leavenworth, WA)

When our wedding was over and done with, we couldn’t wait to view our pictures.  And I’m sure our brides and grooms feel the same way.  Raise your hand if you were constantly on Facebook checking the photographer’s walls or refreshing their blog every hour, on the hour!  Well, that’s what I did and as a previous bride, I can understand that anxiety.  Chris+I wanted to come up with a way to package our clients’ first view of their photos complete with a big red bow and our Personal Wedding Preview sites were what we came up with.

These sites are personally designed and comes from our hearts.  We write a message to our brides and grooms, rather than talking about them in the third person (we do that too…but that’ll be on our blog!:)).  The photos can be viewed easily at one’s own pace and the slideshow can be played without leaving the site.  Essentially, the Personal Wedding Preview site is a one stop shop for our clients to share their perfect day with friends and family.

Our blog is there for potential clients to view our latest work.  But the Personal Preview Sites are specially for the bride and groom that’s antsy on pins and needles waiting to relive their wedding day.  With that said though, there are plenty of new and exciting posts to come on our blog and it’s a personal goal of ours to not only post our photography, but also allow our potential clients into our lives a little bit.  So stay tuned for some more personal little touches that’ll be incorporated into our blog soon.

In the meantime, check out Suryn+Shawn and Kathy+Angelo’s PWP sites below!

I went to high school in Seattle’s north end neighborhood.  My high school had these specific groups of people that the public tend to label.  Like there were the jocks, and the bookworms, hip hoppers, and the everything in betweens.  It’s very easy to bucket people into these high school classifications and it’s funny how we as kids find ways to draw lines between the cool kids and the rest of the world.  Michelle, to me, was always one of those cool kids I watched from the “other” side of the line.

Though these lines were very crisp and clear in my mind in high school, growing older and wiser has made me realize they weren’t really there at all.  Don’t get me wrong, Michelle was one of the cool kids, and she’s still a cool chick now, but she was also/is smart, and probably loved hip hop and still dances to it now.  Now that she’s a big time Seattle real estate agent, I felt so honored when Michelle asked me to help shoot her professional photos.  Their new Windermere office just recently opened and the building is stunningly beautiful…inside and out.  Just like Michelle herself. If anyone’s in need of an awesome agent in the Seattle/Renton/Bothell/Bellevue/Kirkland/everyonePugetSoud area, give Michelle a ring.  She is an awesome COOL chick!

Cha-Cha-Cha-Changes Are Here!!!

When we first started Cindi+Chris Photography, we weren’t really sure where we were headed.  All we knew was that we LOVED taking photos and creating memories for people.  But along the way on this journey, we’ve polished our photography style, been included in some of life’s most precious memories, and have made countless new friends.  We are almost through with our 2012 wedding season and we’re already looking forward to what’s waiting for us in 2013.  It’s going to be a great year…we can FEEL it!

After clicking the shutters on our cameras over tens of thousands of times, we’ve decided that it was time to showcase these precious moments on a brand spankin’ new website.  We can’t even begin to describe to you how many nights we’ve stayed up until 2 am editing and perfecting the photos for our site.  But at last, it’s finally here!  We’re super excited to share this with you so we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Please pay us a visit at our new site here!
