We love big-small weddings. What’s a big-small wedding you ask? Well, it’s when the wedding party, the guest list, and everything else about the it is considered BIG; however, the warmth of the crowd, the personalization of the ceremony, and the wedding couple themselves make it feel like a wedding that’s much smaller and more intimate. And those are the funnest weddings to shoot.
Spending the whole day with Jamie+Kheim was hardly any work at all. I said before that Khiem is one of the easiest guys to make laugh…and I still hold to that opinion. And Jamie, well…need I say more? She’s that classy bride that’s on time, patient, and lovely in every way. I loved that this couple incorporated speeches about their fathers who, sadly could not be with them on their special day. Jamie, a trained hula dancer made a special tribute by dancing for her new husband and the way that he looked at her while she performed could have made any heart melt. I definitely think this couple will make it…don’t you? Here’s a sneak peek of their wedding day below and enjoy!

Jessica and I met over a cup of coffee in downtown Seattle. We gabbed for over an hour about her wedding day as well as other things. And by the end of our chat, we were the perfect bride/photographer match. I love how easy going Jessica is and I know I didn’t have to meet Mikiya to know how special he is as a person simply because of what she had told me about him.
On their wedding day, the weather Gods spoke to us and parted their 60% chance of rain cloud for a little over an hour so we can take some gorgeous photos of this gorgeous couple. Literally the moment we were finished, it started pouring cats and dogs. Now THAT’S good luck right?
Congratulations to Jessica+Mikiya…our first 2014 wedding! We couldn’t be more happier for them and we hope you enjoy their photos!

Almost exactly two years after Amy+Erik got hitched, we got together for Emilio, their first son’s one year photo shoot. I love my job as a photographer because not only is repeat business great, but along the way, we make awesome friends. Hanging out with Amy, Erik, and Emilio was the highlight of that weekend. It made me realize that I really need to hang out with them more!
Emilio has eyes that’ll someday break many hearts! He’s started to break mine when we had to say goodbye to him. Just take a peek of their photos and enjoy!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE taking photos of first time expectant parents. I don’t know how to put it into words, but I think it’s because when couples are expecting their first child, they feel so many things. Excitement, nervousness, fear, love, joy…and the list goes on and on. I think a woman’s most beautiful when she’s pregnant and excited. She smiles with such conviction because she’s truly happy to be soon holding a little creation she’s made with her loving husband.

Good Tuesday morning everyone! Today we bring you one of the cutest little girls we’ve ever seen! She’s just 10 months old and her parents were just awesome to work with. We had such a wonderful time with Kenny+Hai and we loved seeing a father change his little girl into a tight dress. It was hilarious, to say the least, but his little daughter looked awesome don’t you think? Enjoy!

I love photographing families because it’s a great opportunity for me to play with kids. Every child is different and each and one of their personalities cracks me up. Theresa+Serimon are great parents, not because they’re personal friends of mine, but because I can see it through their kids. You can tell Chloe wants to be like her beautiful mom in every way. Anywhere from posing photos like her mom, to having matching boots and a mini scarf. She’s on her way to being a beautiful classy little lady…just like her mother. Christian thinks so highly of his daddy. He told me his dad is stronger than Marshawn Lynch and can lift a whole house. Now that’s a hero!
On a rare sunny Seattle fall afternoon, we went out to the park and took these lovely photos of the Strong family. Enjoy!

I remember when I first came upon Tiffany’s blog. It was about three years ago and I had just gotten married. Bored with my job and also wanting to start my own photography business, I went online searching for Seattle wedding photographers for inspiration. But somewhere amongst my Google searches, I came upon Tiff’s blog and instantly started to follow her. I didn’t know it at the time, but soon came to found out that in addition to being a wedding photographer with her husband, Jared, she was (and still is) a very popular fashion blogger in the fashion internet community. Now with their first daughter, Layla, welcomed to their family, they do not photograph weddings any more but Tiffany is still a very active blogger. I love visiting her OOTDs (outfit of the days for those not in the know ))) and she was actually the person that inspired me to purchase my first Chanel bag through a second hand retailer. Tiffany has a shoe collection to die for and lots of vintage designer bags passed down from her mom. I strive to be like her in every way possible! I am so thankful for Tiff and Jared for opening their doors to Chris and I, allowing us to photograph their cute, adorable family. Check them out! And also check Tiffany out on her blog!

Love is moving across the country for someone because you can’t live without them. Courtney+Zac are both from the East coast and when Zac was offered a job here in Rain City, Courtney followed after graduating from school. Now that’s what I call love! They wanted to take engagement photos in Seattle before their wedding next year back home across the country and although we will not be their wedding photographers, we’re so glad we got to meet them and got to spend the morning with them around beautiful Seattle. They are shy, funny, daring, laughable, and adorable all at once. Just check them out and see for yourselves!
